Maçoku Terms of Service
Maçoku · lectura de joc · macoku.com
1. Who we are
Maçoku is a service owned and operated by Brújula SL, a Spanish limited company (sociedad limitada) with registered address at, tax ID (CIF), registered in the Barcelona Commercial Registry. Contact: efe@brujula.eu.
In these Terms, "we", "us" and "Maçoku" mean Brújula SL. "You" means the person who orders a report. The full legal information required by Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) is in our Legal Notice.
2. What Maçoku does
2.1 Maçoku analyses a video recording of an amateur sports match (at launch: football) and sends a team-level match report by email. The report contains:
- team presence: where on the pitch the team spent its time, by zone and match period;
- a pitch heatmap of the team as a whole;
- an estimated team distance covered.
2.2 The report is team-level only. Maçoku does not produce reports about individual players. It does not identify anyone by face, name or shirt number, and we do not use face recognition.
2.3 The service is fully automated. Our own software analyses the video on cloud servers. A text summary is drafted by AI language models from anonymised numbers only; no images, video, names or shirt numbers are sent to those models. No person reviews the report before delivery. People at Brújula SL see a video or report only when needed to handle a support request, a rights request or a legal matter.
2.4 Maçoku serves amateur sport at every level: adult and veteran leagues, clubs, academies, coaches, players and families. Some matches involve players under 18; section 6.4 and our Uploader Declaration contain extra rules for those matches.
3. Who can order
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity.
3.2 You may order as a consumer (for personal purposes, for example as a parent or player) or as a business or organisation (for example a club, academy or professional coach). Where these Terms give consumers extra rights, those rights apply only to consumers. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
4. Price, payment and Paddle
4.1 The price per match report is €45 (orders from Spain and other euro countries) or 2,490 TL (orders from Türkiye), VAT included (Spanish IVA or Turkish KDV, as applicable). The price shown at checkout is the final price. We do not add delivery charges.
4.2 Our online orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle sells the report to you, takes payment, issues your invoice or receipt and handles taxes, refunds and payment disputes. When you pay, you also accept Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) and Paddle's Refund Policy (paddle.com/legal/refund-policy). Paddle processes your payment data under its own privacy notice. We never see your full card details.
4.3 Prices may change in the future. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout when you pay.
5. How an order works
5.1 Steps (once checkout is live; for reservations see 5.5(a)). (1) You read the filming requirements. (2) You paste a link to your match video. (3) You complete the Uploader Declaration (the rights and consent checkboxes). (4) You accept these Terms and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy. (5) You pay through Paddle checkout. Before paying you can review and correct your details and the order summary; you can go back or close the window at any step before payment.
5.2 Contract. A contract is formed when Paddle confirms your payment by email. We store a record of your order, the version of these Terms you accepted and your declarations. You can ask for a copy at efe@brujula.eu. The contract can be concluded in Spanish, Turkish or English.
5.3 Video link. At launch we accept links to a video file you control in cloud storage (for example Google Drive or Dropbox) with "anyone with the link can view" access, or another upload method we offer. We do not accept links to platforms whose terms forbid downloading (for example YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or Facebook). If you own a video on such a platform, download it with the platform's own tools and share the file. The link must stay accessible until you receive your report.
5.4 Filming requirements. The analysis only works with a fixed camera on a tripod, placed high at the halfway line, showing the whole pitch with no zoom and no panning. Our software checks the video automatically before analysis.
5.5 Pre-order phases.
(a) Reservation (before the report service opens). While the order page says "Reserve", you can reserve a report without paying. No charge is taken at reservation and we do not ask for payment details or your video. We keep only your email address, country and language. A reservation does not oblige you to buy. When the report service opens, we email you; you are charged only if you then confirm your order and pay through Paddle checkout under paragraph (b). You can cancel a reservation at any time by replying to our email or writing to efe@brujula.eu.
(b) Paid checkout (once checkout is live). When you order through the live checkout:
- Paddle, as our authorised reseller and merchant of record, charges you at checkout;
- we download and analyse your video when capacity for your order opens; while demand exceeds capacity, we estimate delivery within;
- you can cancel at any time before your report is delivered and get a full refund, for any reason (see the Refund and Pre-order Policy);
- if we have not delivered your report within 30 days of your order, we cancel the order and Paddle refunds you in full without you having to ask.
5.6 Delivery. We send the report to the email address given at checkout. Outside pre-order periods we aim to deliver within of a successful video check. Please check your spam folder and save your report: see section 8 on how long we keep it.
5.7 Videos that cannot be analysed. If the video fails the automatic check (for example the camera moves, the pitch is not fully visible, the link does not open or the file is damaged), we email you. You may send a corrected link within 14 days or ask for a full refund. If you do neither, we cancel the order and Paddle refunds you in full.
6. Your video: rights, permissions and acceptable use
6.1 You keep your rights. You (or the person who authorised you) keep all rights in your video. We do not acquire ownership of it.
6.2 Licence to us. You give Brújula SL a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, without fee, to copy, store temporarily and analyse your video, and its derived data, only to produce and deliver your report, to provide support, to keep the service secure and to comply with the law. The licence ends when the video is deleted (see section 8). We will not publish your video, share it with other customers, use it in advertising, or use it to train AI models.
6.3 Your declaration. Before ordering you confirm, in the Uploader Declaration, that:
- you made the video, or you have permission from its owner (for example the club, league or person who filmed it) to share it with us for analysis;
- sharing it with us does not breach any law, any contract or the terms of the platform where it is stored;
- the match was played in a setting where filming was known or announced to participants, for example by the club, the organiser or the competition rules;
- the video shows only the match and its normal surroundings (no changing rooms, toilets, medical treatment or other private moments).
6.4 Matches with players under 18. If anyone under 18 appears in the video, you also confirm that either (a) you have the consent of the parents or legal guardians of the minors shown, or (b) the club or organiser responsible for the team has authorised the recording and its analysis by services such as Maçoku. Our reports never single out any player, and we delete videos quickly; but the permission must exist before you upload.
6.5 Acceptable use. You must not:
- upload footage you have no right to share, including professional or broadcast footage;
- upload footage that is sexual, violent beyond normal play, defamatory, or that shows private spaces;
- use Maçoku to identify, track, profile or monitor any person, or to try to re-identify players from a report;
- use a report as the only basis for a decision about an individual (for example selection, contract or medical decisions);
- try to access our systems without permission, interfere with them, reverse engineer them, or extract data automatically;
- resell or offer Maçoku reports as part of a commercial service without a written agreement with us.
6.6 Our right to refuse. We may refuse or stop processing a video, and delete it, if we reasonably believe it breaches this section. If we do so before delivering your report, Paddle refunds you in full, unless the case involves fraud or a clear breach that causes harm to others.
6.7 Requests from people in a video. Anyone who appears in a video (or a parent or guardian of a minor who appears) can ask us to stop processing and delete it by writing to efe@brujula.eu. We act on these requests within 72 hours, usually before any report is produced. If the request reaches us before delivery and is justified, we cancel the order and Paddle refunds you.
6.8 Your responsibility. If you breach sections 6.3 to 6.5 and a third party makes a claim against us as a result, you are responsible for the reasonable damage caused, within the limits of the law. For consumers, this applies only where you acted with intent or negligence.
7. The report
7.1 What the report is. The report gives automated estimates produced by computer vision and statistics. Figures such as distance and zone percentages are approximate. Accuracy depends on the video. The report is for coaching, learning and enjoyment. It is not medical, physical-load or scouting advice.
7.2 Your use of the report. You may use, print and share your report for your personal, team or club purposes. Brújula SL keeps all rights in the Maçoku software, design, templates and brand.
7.3 AI-drafted text. Part of the report text is drafted automatically by AI language models from anonymised numbers. We tell you this so you can read it with that in mind.
8. Retention
8.1 Video: downloaded only when your order is processed and deleted no later than 7 days after download, or sooner when processing ends.
8.2 Report and anonymised match data: kept for 30 days after delivery so we can resend the report or answer questions, then deleted.
8.3 Order records and Uploader Declaration records are kept for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
9. Conformity and your rights as a consumer
9.1 We supply a report that matches its description in these Terms and on the order page. If the report is not delivered or does not conform, consumers have the remedies provided by law: in Spain, under the Consolidated Text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, as amended by Royal Decree-law 7/2021 on digital content and services), including having the report brought into conformity (for example a new analysis), a price reduction or ending the contract with a refund. Contact efe@brujula.eu first; we will try to fix the problem quickly. Paddle may also refund you under its Refund Policy.
9.2 Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers). You have 14 days from the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Because the report is digital content produced specifically for your match, at checkout you expressly ask us to start when capacity is available and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the report has been fully delivered to you. Until delivery you can always cancel and get a full refund. To withdraw, use the withdrawal option in the Paddle customer portal (link in your receipt) or contact Paddle at paddle.net, or write to us at efe@brujula.eu. See the Refund and Pre-order Policy.
9.3 Consumers in Türkiye have the rights set out in section 13.
10. Liability
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer law.
10.2 Consumers. We are liable to consumers under the law for foreseeable damage caused by our breach of these Terms. We are not liable for losses that you could have avoided by following the filming requirements or by saving your report, nor for decisions you or others make based on a report, unless our breach caused them.
10.3 Business customers. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to a business customer for all claims connected with Maçoku in any 12-month period is limited to the amount paid for the reports ordered in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, or for indirect damage.
10.4 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example outages of cloud or payment providers). If such an event prevents delivery, section 5.5(b) or 5.7 applies and you are refunded.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access or refuse orders from anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms, gives false declarations or abuses refunds or chargebacks. Each report is a one-time purchase; there is no subscription to cancel.
12. Governing law and disputes
12.1 These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of that country (Article 6 of Regulation (EC) 593/2008, Rome I).
12.2 Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of the place where they live or in the courts of Barcelona; we may only bring proceedings against a consumer in the courts of the place where the consumer lives. Business customers submit to the courts of Barcelona (Spain).
12.3 Complaints and out-of-court resolution. Please contact efe@brujula.eu first; we reply within 14 days. Consumers in Spain may also go to their local consumer office (OMIC) or the consumer arbitration system (Junta Arbitral de Consumo).. Complaint forms (hojas de reclamación) are available at efe@brujula.eu. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was closed on 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it.
12.4 Consumers in Türkiye: see section 13.4.
13. Additional information for consumers in Türkiye
13.1 For consumers resident in Türkiye, the mandatory provisions of the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation (Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği) apply in addition to these Terms. The seller of record at checkout is Paddle; the service provider is Brújula SL.
13.2 Pre-contract information. The essential features of the service (section 2), the total price including KDV (section 4), payment method (Paddle checkout), delivery (sections 5.5(b) to 5.7, by email, within 30 days at the latest), the right of withdrawal and its exceptions (section 13.3), and our contact details (section 1) are shown before you pay, and you confirm you have read them at checkout.
13.3 Withdrawal. You can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. Under the Distance Contracts Regulation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services whose performance has started, with your approval, before the withdrawal period ends, or to intangible goods delivered instantly electronically. At checkout you approve that performance starts when capacity is available. Until the report is delivered you can always cancel and get a full refund.
13.4 Complaints. Turkish consumers may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the Consumer Court (Tüketici Mahkemesi) of their own place of residence, within the monetary limits set each year by the Ministry of Trade, and subject to mandatory mediation rules where applicable. Applying to these bodies is not limited by section 12.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example to reflect new features or legal changes. The version you accepted applies to your order. The current version and its date are always at macoku.com/terms.
15. Other
If a court finds any clause invalid, the rest remains in force. If these Terms are translated, each language version is equally valid for consumers; for business customers the Spanish version prevails in case of conflict.
