Match Filming Guide (Fixed Camera)
For the best analysis, we recommend the recording meets the conditions below. Every video sent goes through an automatic motion check; if the camera moves or the zoom is used, the report is still delivered but without the pitch heatmap and distance. Results depend on your footage and are not guaranteed.
Camera
- The camera is fixed on a tripod. Handheld recordings are not accepted.
- The camera is placed high up (top row of the stand, about 4 m or more).
- The camera is level with the halfway line, at the middle of the touchline.
- The whole pitch is in frame: both goals, all four corner flags and both touchlines.
While recording
- Do not use the zoom.
- Do not pan or tilt the camera.
- Record the match continuously; you may pause at half-time, without moving the camera.
- Make sure no spectators, nets or posts are in front of the camera.
Settings
- Link: Google Drive or Dropbox only.
- File: MP4 or MOV (H.264/H.265). 720p or higher is recommended; lower quality is still accepted.
- Turn off image stabilisation and auto zoom.
- Battery and memory card with enough capacity for the whole match (90 minutes + half-time).
Before sending
- The whole pitch with clear lines should be visible throughout the recording.
- If camera movement is detected, the report is still delivered, without the pitch heatmap and distance.
- Sections the footage can't support reliably are marked as estimates in the report.
- Results depend on your footage and are not guaranteed.
Sending your video
- Put the video on Google Drive or Dropbox and paste its share link ("anyone with the link can view") into the form.
- A YouTube video link (public or unlisted) is also accepted. Social media links (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter) are not accepted.
- There is no direct file upload.
